SR-11-28-1978-6ISanta Monica, California, November 7, 1978 Introduction This report presents a contract for award on a bid in the amount of $24,661.61 for furnishing of supplies and services for the General Municipal Election to be held April 10, 1979. Background The Charter of the City requires that a General Municipal Election be held on April 10, 1979. Pursuant to Section 10000 of the California Elections Code, specifications were prepared and a notice published inviting bids for furnishing election services and supplies for the April 1979 Municipal Election. The proposal requested services and supplies for 7S voting precincts. There will be three Council vacancies and four vacancies on the Board of Education, We estimate that there will be five measures. The following bids were received and opened on October 30, 1978: Diamond International Corporation $31,175.55 Martin & Chapman Co. $24,661.61 Recommendation It is respectfully recommended that the award be made to Martin $ Chapman Co. as the lowest and most responsive bidder in the total amount of $24,661.61.
