Subject: Recommendation for Authorization of Transfer of Funds for
Purchase of Diesel Fuel Tank
Introduction
This report recommends transfer of funds to facilitate the purchase of an
underground diesel fuel tank.
Background
The City presently has a 4,000 gallon diesel fuel tank which is too small to
receive a full truck load of fuel. By installing a 10,000 gallon tank, the
City can purchase a full load of fuel and eliminate a surcharge from the
vendor which is charged when less than a full load of fuel is purchased.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that Council authorize transfer of funds in the amount of
$8,500 from account no. 01- 500 - 461- 000 -100 (Regular Salaries) to account
no. 01- 500 - 481 - 000 -920 (Structures and Improvements).
