for the total amount of $ 7,450.00, including tax. Funds, in
the amount of $ 8,500.00, are available in account number
01- 500 -481- 000 -920 (City Yards Structures and Improvements).
Background
This tank installation will enable the City to purchase diesel
fuel in five - thousand or more gallon lots at a saving of .035
cents per gallon over present purchases.
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and
install the tank specified, proposals were received and publicly
opened and read in the office of the City Manager July 18, 1978.
Proposal forms were mailed to twenty -one (21) suppliers and notices
were advertised in accordance with city charter and municipal code
provisions. Four bids were received:
