SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for Sand, Gravel and
Aggregates. Bid No. 1355.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid to supply sand, gravel and
aggregates as ordered by the City during the period July 1, 1978
through June 30, 1979. This award shall be subject to the avail-
ability of funds in the budget approved for the impending fiscal
year. The award, in the estimated amount of $10,482:34, including
tax, will be charged to account 44- 500 -421- 000 -414 (Street and
Road Materials).
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish nine (9)
types of road materials in lots as ordered, three (3) bids were
received and publicly opened and read in the office of the City
Manager May 9, 1978. Proposal forms were mailed to fifteen (15)
materials suppliers and notices were published in accordance with
city charter and municipal code provisions. Prices proposed are
listed on the attached summary of bids.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to the lowest and best
bidder as to each item, as follows:
