SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for test instrument.
Bid No. 1349.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid in the amount of $2,379.70 in-
cluding applicable tax for one (1) low frequency levelmeter. This
instrument is used to adjust the telemetering instruments used in
the water supply system. Funds in the amount of $6,000.00 are
available in job order account 77210 -000, Water Division Test
Equipment.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids, proposals were received
and publicly opened and read in the office of the City Manager March
28, 1978. Proposal forms were mailed to twenty -seven (27) manufactur-
ers and suppliers of test equipment and notices were advertised in
accordance with city charter and municipal code provisions.
Two bids were received:

Services Incorporated
One (1) Meter $ 2,245.00 $ 2,250.57

Total $ 2,379.70 $ 2,385.60

Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Southwest Services, as
the lowest and best bidder, in the total amount of $2,379.70.
