SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for water well pulling and,-„ -
repair service. Bid No. 1342.
Introduction
This report concerns award of bid in the estimated total amount of
$18,700.00 for water well pulling and repair service during the
period May 1, 1978 through April 30, 1979. Funds for this as- needed
service are available in job order account 63040 -000, Water Produc-
tion and Treatment.
Background
This yearly contract will encompass removal and repair and replace-
ment, machining and photo log well services beyond the City's capa-
bilities. In response to published Notice Inviting Bids, one (1)
bid was received and publicly opened and read in the office of the
City Manager March 7, 1978. Proposal forms were mailed to eighteen
(18) drilling contractors and notices were advertised in accordance
with city charter and municipal code provisons, The bid received
included a one (1) year option and terms of one per cent (1 %) cash
discount for payment within ten (10) days.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to McCalla Brothers, Tnc
in the estimated total amount of $18,700,00,
