SUBJECT: Recommendation to award bid for City Hall roofing

Introduction 1'
This report concerns award of bid to replace roofing on two (2)
areas of the City Hall building in the total amount of $9,000.00,
including tax. Funds are available in account 01- 100 - 243 - 000 -322,
City Hall Annual Maintenance.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids, bids were received
and publicly opened and read in the office of the City Manager
March 2, 1978. Proposal forms were mailed to sixteen (16) roofing
contractors and notices were advertised in accordance with city
charter and municipal code provisions. Three (3) bids were re-
ceived as listed on the attached summary.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the award be made to Robert Nichols, Inc.,
as the lowest and best bidder, in the total amount of $9,000.00,
including tax.
