SUBJECT: Sale of Used Automotive Equipment. Bid No. 1327.

Introduction
This report concerns acceptance of bids for two (2) used automobiles,
in the total amount of $1,357.00, and rejection of all bids submitted
for other vehicles in this offering.
Background
In response to published Notice. Inviting Bids for thirteen (13) used
vehicles, five (5) proposals were received and publicly opened and
read in the office of the City Manager November 8, 1977. Proposal
packages were mailed to twenty -eight (28) prospective bidders and
notices were advertised in accordance with city charter and municipal
code provisions. These bids are summarized on the attached sheet..
The Staff considers that the highest bids received for items eight
(8) reflect fair market value. It is felt that a greater net return
for all other items will be realized if these are sold at auction
as authorized by Resolution 4792 (CCS).
Recommendation
It is recommended that the bids of Mark Conn and David Chapman in
the amount of $800.00 for Item 8 and Claude Short Dodge in the
amount of $557.00 for Item 11 be accepted and that all other bids
be rejected.
