Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for one (1) heavy duty automotive
brake drum lathe in the total amount of $6,827.38 including applicable
tax. Funds in the amount of $7,435.00 are budgeted in account number
36- 600 - 651 - 000 -241, Transportation Department Capital Outlay,
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish this lathe
in accordance with city specifications, two (2) bids were received
and publicly opened and read in the office of the City Manager
October 4, 1977. Proposal forms were mailed to ten (10) automotive
service equipment companies and notices were advertised in accordance
with city charter and municipal code provisions
