Introduction
This report concerns award of bid for one (1) film inspection
machine in the amount of $7,417.00 including applicable tax and
trade -in allowance. Funds, in the amount of $7,500.00 are budgeted
in account 13- 400 -611- 000 -950, Library Operations Capital Outlay.
Background
In response to published Notice Inviting Bids to furnish and deliver
a film inspection machine, one (1) bid was received and publicly
opened and read in the office of the City Manager October 18, 1977.
Proposal forms were mailed to fourteen (14) audio - visual supply
companies and notices were advertised in accordance with city charter
and municipal code provisions. This machine will replace the
current machine which was put in service in 1961.
Research Technology, Inc. submitted the following:
