A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
CERTIFYING THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT
ON THE 1402 SANTA MONICA BLVD AUTOMOBILE DEALERSHIP PROJECT
WHEREAS, a Notice of Preparation of an Environmental Impact Report for the 1402
Santa Monica Boulevard Automobile Dealership Project was issued on April 4, 2013; and
WHEREAS, a Notice of Availability /Completion of a Draft Environmental Impact
Report was published on January 10, 2014 in compliance with the California Environmental
Quality Act and the City of Santa Monica CEQA Guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the project is not regionally significant and the Draft Environmental
Impact Report was circulated for a 30 -day period which ended on February 10, 2014; and
WHEREAS, the Draft EIR analyzed the potential development of the proposed
33,750 square foot automobile dealership; and
WHEREAS, the Final EIR was published in May 2014; and

WHEREAS, on May 28, 2014, the Planning Commission reviewed and considered
the Final EIR and recommended that the City Council certify it; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the contents of the Final
EIR in its decision - making process; and
WHEREAS, on July 8, 2014 the City Council, as Lead City Agency, reviewed the
Final EIR;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council has reviewed and considered the information
contained in the Final Environmental Impact Report on the 1402 Santa Monica Boulevard
Automobile Dealership Project ( "Final EIR ") prior to acting on the project.
SECTION 2. The City Council certifies that the Final EIR for the project was
presented to the City Council, that the Final EIR for the project was completed in full
compliance with State law and City CEQA Guidelines, that there was adequate public
review of the Draft Environmental Impact Report, that it has considered all comments on
the Draft Environmental Impact Report and responses to comments, that the Final
Environmental Impact Report adequately discusses all significant environmental issues,

that the Final Environmental Impact Report reflects the independent judgement and
analysis of the City, and that the City Council has reviewed and considered the information
contained in the Final Environmental Impact Report in its decision - making process prior to
acting on the project.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
