Recommended Action
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on August 14, 2013, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance amending Chapters 4.40 and 4.60 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code to
expand domestic partnership protections to conform with State law. The ordinance is
now presented to the City Council for adoption.
