A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
SETTING PEDICAB PERMIT FEES
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica completed a fee analysis for various
permits related to pedicab regulations; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City to charge for the full costs of services
provided by City Staff when such services benefit individual users rather than members
of the community as a whole; and
WHEREAS, the City has calculated the cost of providing various pedicab - related
permits; and
WHEREAS, the fees established by this Resolution are no more than necessary
to recover the cost of the services provided.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The following annual pedicab operator fee, pedicab vehicle permit
fees, and pedicab driver's permit fees are hereby adopted:

Operator Permit Fee:
New & Renewal Operators Permit Fee: $195
Pedicab Vehicle Decal Permit Fee:
New pedicab vehicle permit fee $112
Transfer pedicab vehicle permit fee $112
Renewal pedicab vehicle permit fee $ 51
Replacement pedicab vehicle permit fee $ 36
Pedicab vehicle re- inspection fee $ 28
Pedicab Driver's Permit Fees:
New and renewal pedicab driver's permit application fee $ 95
Pedicab driver's permit transfer fee to new company $ 62
Pedicab driver's permit replacement fee $ 28
SECTION 2. If there are any conflicts between the fees and rates adopted in this
Resolution and any prior adopted resolution or schedule, the fees and rates adopted
through this Resolution shall take precedence.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
