Mark Baker (Santa Monica Citizens for Civic Action) spoke and
!proposed that fifty signatures be required to qualify a candidate to file
for the office of City Council.
J. Ray Gallagher spoke and proposed that the City be divided
into seven districts and that members of the Council serve not more than

and City Attorney in order to obtain all information available with
regard to land, fee and structure therefor betweeen now and the meeting
of July 24. The motion was seconded by Mr. Trives and carried unanimously.

of Obert J. Rod, long -time Santa Monica businessman, who passed away.

information that would be pertinent to improving the Airport which would b
compatible both to the operators of the Airport and the surrounding
residents and bring a report back to the Council by the first meeting in
