A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT SEVEN APPLICATIONS
TO THE 2013 CALL FOR PROJECTS AND THE
EXECUTION OF ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO
ACCEPT, ADMINISTER, AND IMPLEMENT THE VARIOUS
GRANT FUNDED PROGRAMS AWARDED THROUGH
THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica is an eligible public entity to apply for the
Metropolitan Transportation Authority 2013 Call for Projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica has identified several high - priority capital
projects that are eligible to compete for grant funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to act on behalf of the City
of Santa Monica on all matters associated with the submittal of seven applications to the
Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) 2013 Call for Projects.

SECTION 2. For those 2013 Call for Projects applications that are awarded
funding, the City Manager, or his /her designee is hereby authorized and empowered to
execute in the name of the City of Santa Monica all grant documents, including but not
limited to, applications, agreements, amendments and requests for payment, necessary
to secure grant funds and implement the approved grant project.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
