A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA SETTING CIVIL PENALTIES
FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS AND FOR THE LATE PAYMENT
OF PENALTIES
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica is a municipal corporation; and
WHEREAS, the California Vehicle Code and the Santa Monica Municipal Code
authorize the City to establish a schedule of parking penalties for parking violations and
for the late payment of such penalties; and
WHEREAS, California law provides that such penalties are civil in nature and
subject to administrative enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the amount of such penalties may set by resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The penalties specified in the attached Schedule of Civil Penalties
for Parking Violations and for Late Payments are hereby established.

SECTION 2. The penalties listed on the attached Schedule for a Santa Monica
Municipal Code or California Vehicle Code section shall apply to all unlisted
subsections, prohibiting the same violations.
SECTION 3. Resolution No. 10406 (CCS) is hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
