r10691City Council Meeting: 07/10/2012 Santa Monica, California RESOLUTION NUMBER 10691 (CCS) (City Council Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION AND TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS IN FURTHERANCE OF TRANSIT SECURITY PROJECTS FOR THE BIG BLUE BUS WHEREAS, Proposition 1B transit funding assistance is available to California cities; and WHEREAS, the Big Blue Bus is eligible for such funding; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to delegate authority to apply for and obtain such funding. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica authorizes the City Manager or his designee to submit a grant application and to execute agreements to accept financial assistance from the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA) through the California Transit Assistance Fund (CTAF), referred to as Proposition 1 1B bond funds, specifically from Fiscal Year 2011 -12 CTSGP -CTAF Proposition 1B Grant ID Number: 6461 -0002 Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Monica authorizes the City Manager or his designee to designate the Director of Transit Services as the Authorized Agent to execute and submit non - financially binding documents related to transit security grant funds, including annual certifications, assurances and required performance monitoring reports in association with grant funds available through Fiscal Year 2011-12. Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
