Subject: Resolution to Correct a Clerical Error regarding the Adoption of Resolution

Recommended Action
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution, repealing
Resolution No. 10568 and authorizing the City's membership in the Los Angeles
Interagency Metropolitan Police Apprehension Crime Task Force Joint Powers Authority
(the "Authority ").
Executive Summary
The proposed ordinance would correct a clerical error that resulted from staff omitting
an attachment to Resolution No. 10568 and a City Council staff report for the April 12,
2011 City Council meeting. The proposed resolution repeals Resolution No. 10568 and
authorizes the City's membership in the Authority.
Background
On April 12, 2011 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 10568, authorizing the City'
membership in the Authority and approving the Los Angeles Interagency Metropolitan
Police Apprehension Crime Task Force Joint Powers Agreement ( "LA- Impact JPA").
The staff report and Resolution No. 10568 referred to the LA– Impact JPA as an
attachment, but the staff report did not attach the LA– Impact JPA agreement. The
proposed Council action repeals Resolution No. 10568 and authorizes the City's
membership in the Authority.
