13-A: Request of Councilmembers Terry O'Day and Bob Holbrook to direct staff
to prepare a Resolution of Intention to amend Chapter 9 of the Santa
Monica Municipal Code to allow, with limitations, automobile showrooms
and sales in the Bayside Commercial District area of Downtown Santa
Monica. The code amendment will be limited in scope to allow the display
and sales of alternative fuel vehicles, but not allow other components
typically associated with auto dealerships such as service, repair and
inventory storage.
