r-10593City Council Meeting: July 12, 2011 Santa Monica, California RESOLUTION NUMBER 10593 (CCS) (City Council Series) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA AMENDING THE PRICE SCHEDULE FOR SERVICES AT SANTA MONICA'S WOODLAWN CEMETERY. MAUSOLEUM AND MORTUARY WHEREAS, .the Santa Monica Municipal Code provides that the City Council may, by resolution, establish a price schedule for the price for all property, goods, and services sold or provided at Woodlawn Cemetery, Mausoleum and Mortuary; and WHEREAS, the City previously adopted or revised certain portions of the price schedule but did not develop a comprehensive schedule in a single document; and WHEREAS, the City has now determined that a comprehensive amendment to price schedule is necessary to establish a complete schedule in one document for the convenience of Cemetery staff and the general public. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The charges described in the attached Exhibit A for property, goods, and services at the City of Santa Monica Woodlawn Cemetery, Mausoleum, and Mortuary are hereby established and effective as of July 1, 2011. SECTION 2. On July 1, 2012, and on July 1 of each year thereafter, all prices set by this resolution shall be administratively adjusted based upon the Consumer Price Index ("CPI") for Los Angeles-Anaheim-Riverside County in an amount equal to the change in CPI for the twelve (12) month period ending on the preceding December 31st; however, if the change in CPI would result in a negative adjustment in prices, there shall be no administrative adjustment for that year. SECTION 3. Any price schedules for property, goods, or services at the Cemetery adopted prior to the date of this Resolution are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. 2 APPROVED AS TO FORM: Adopted and approved this 12th day of July, 2011.
