AUTHORI'T'Y TO AYJARD A CONTRACT FOR
DEMOLITION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY IN THE
REDEVELOPMENT AREA AND MAKING AN
AWZ~RD OF THE SAME..
WHEREAS, the Parking Authority owns certain real
property located at the southwest: corner of the .intersecti_on of
Broadway and Fourth Streets within t;he Downtown Redevelopment
Project area, which ,property i.s to be conveyed to the Redevelop-
ment Agency for redevelopment purposes pursuant to the Itedevelop--
ment Plarr for said. Project; and
WHEREAS, certain improvements located on said property
must bc. dernol:ished as a Ii>a:c~t of the implementation of said
Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, the I>ar.}cing Authorit=y has received bid:; for
such demolition work in the manner requi.rcd by law; and
WHL,REAS, a permit has been issued for such work
pursuant to the California Coastal lone Conse:cvation Act of_ 1972;
NOW, THEREFORE, t:he Parking Authority and the Redevelop-
ment: Agency of the City of Santa Monica do hereby resolve as
follows:
SECTION l_ The Redevelopment Agency hereby
requests and authorizes the Parking Authority to duly award
a contract for the demolition of certain improvements located
on property owned by the Parking Authority located at the south-
west corner of the intE:rsection of Broadway and Fourth Streets
within the Downtocan Redevelopment Project area, pursuant to

SECTION 2. The Parking Authcirity agrees to let
a contract .for the demolition of said property to the lowesL-
responsible bidder..

5EC'I'ION 3. _ Alexander„Land Clrar_i_ny~._~I_nc_.__ has
submitted a bid to he Parking Authority in the amount of
_^520,7;0 _,.~____ which is the lowest and. best bid.
SECTION 4. A contract is hereby acaarded to
_AlexandeiiLand Cle~ring Inc .__ for demolition of. said property
in accordance with the specifications in Notice Inviting Bids
for the sum of 57.0,750
SECTION 5. The Secretary of the Parking Authority
shall certify to the adoption of this resolution, and thence=
forth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
SECTION 6. The Secretary of the Redevelopment
Agency shall certify to the adoption of this resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter i.he same shall be i.n fulll force and
effect.
