A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY
OF SANTA MONTCA FINDING AND DETERMTNTNG_THE PUBLIC

AUTHORIZE A CONDEMNATIQN OF THE FEE TITLE TO CER~

STREET PARKING IN THE .CITY OF SANTA MONTCA,
TI-L: PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA HEREBY DOES
RESOLVE. AS FOLLOWS o.
SECTION 1. That the Parking Authority of the City oi'
Santa R'tonica, a body politic, was activated pursuant to the Parking
Law of 1g4g, by iesolution No, 517 (CCS) of the City Council of the
City of Santa Monica, which said resolution was adopted September
12, 190,
SECTION 2, That said Parking Authority, pursuant to
the power granted thereto by Section 32802 of the Streets and High-
ways Code of the State of California, hereby finds and determines
and declares that the public interest, convenience and necessity
require the following improvement to be made, to witz bhe opening
up, laying out, and improvement for the purposes of public offTM
street parking of the following described real property located in
the City of Santa Monica, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
to wit:
Lots 2, 3, ~+, l8 and 19 of Tract No, 8468,
City of Santa Monica, County of Los Angeles,
State of California, as per map recorded 3n Map
Book g7, Pages 44 to 46.
SECTION 3„ That said Parking Authority hereby finds,
determines and declares that the public interest, convenience and
necessity require the acquisition by said Parking Authority of the
fee title in and to said real property described in Section 2 of
this resolution for the purpose of opening up, laying out and
improving said real property for the purpose of off-street parking,

SECTION 4, That said Parking Authority hereby finds,
determines and declares that said acquisition and improvement has
been planned and located in a manner which will be .most .compatible
with the greatest public good and the least private injury,
SECTION 5. That the attorney for said Parking
Authority hereby is authorized, empowered and directed to prepare,
institute and prosecute in the name of said Parking Authority such
proceedings, in the proper court having jurisdiction thereof, as
are necessary for the condemnation of the fee title of said real
property described in Sections 2 and 3 oi' this resolution for the
purposes mentioned in Sections 2 and 3 of this resolution in the
name of said Parking Authority,
SECTION 6R The Chairman shall execute this resolution
on behalf of said Authority and the Clerk of said body shall certify
to the adoption thereof and thenceforth and thereafter the. same
shall be in full force and effect,
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 4th day of May 1961,
