RE~2UIRE AND AUTIiORIZE A CONDEMNATION OF THE

OPENING UP, LAYING OUT AND IMPROVEMENT OF A
SITE FO1-t THE.PURPOSE OF OFF-STREET PARKING
IN TI3E CITY OF SANTA MOIVICA,
THE PARKING AUTHORI`PY Ob' Tc~ CITY OF SANTA MUNICA DOES HEREBY
I?ESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Parking Authority of the City of
Santa Monica, a body politic, was activated pursuant to the
Parking T.~aw of 19~9y by Resolution Np. 517 (CCS), of the City
Council of the City of Santa Maniea, ~vnich said resolution was
adopted. September 12, 150.
SECTION 2. That said Parking Authority pursuant to
the power granted thereto by Section 32802 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California, hereby finds, determines,
and declares tnat the public interest, convenience and necessity
require the following improvement to be made, to wit: The opening
up, laying out, and improvement for the purposes of public off-
street parking, the fallowing described real property located in
the City of Santa Monica, County of Los Angeles, State of California
to wit:
Lot V of B1oek 110, Tawn of Santa Monica,
City of Santa Monica, County of S,os Angeles,
State of California, as per map recorded in
Book 39, Pages ~E5 to 51, Miscellaneous Records,
of said County,
SECTION 3. That said Parking Authority hereby finds,
determines and declares that the public interest, conveni"ence
and necessity require the acquisition by said Parking Authority

Section 2 of this resolution for the purpose of opening up,
laying out and 3.mproving said real property for the purpose
of public off-street parking4
SEC'T'ION ~+. That said Parking Authority hereby finds,
determines and declares that said acquisition and improvement
has been planned and located in a manner which. will be most
compatible with the greatest public good and the least private
injury,
SECTION 5. That the attorney for said Parking Authority
hereby is authora.zed, empowered and directed to prepare, .institute
and prosecute in the name of said Park3.ng Authority such pro-
ceedings in the proper court having jurisdiction thereof as are
necessary for the condemnation of the fee title of said real
property described in Sections 2 and 3 of this resoluti.an for
the purposes mentioned in Sections 2 and 3 of this resolution
in the name of said Parking Authority.
SECTION n, The Chairman shall execute this resolution
on behalf of said Authority and the Clerk of said body shall
certify to the adoption thereof and thenceforth and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect,
