A RESOLUTION OF THE PARKING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA MONICA REQUr~STING THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY
TO TRANSFER TITLE TO CER^lAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE
PARKING AUTHORITY AND ALLOCATE THE RENTALS THEREFROM
TO THE PARKING AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Monica previously has acquired
title to certain real property known as a portion of the Trolleyway
and which portion lies between Hill Street and Kinney Street; and
WHEREAS, the sum of X32,237.75 previously allocated to the
Parking Authority was used by the City in the acquisition of title to
said real property; and
WHEREAS, the City expended the sum of X20,013.68 on
improving said real property for off®street parking purposes with the
understanding that said sum was to be repaid to the City by said
Parking Authority; and
WHEREAS, thereafter the City Council of said City entered
into a lease with private parsons for operating said lot and said
City by reason of such lease receives a rental in the amount of
X3,012.00 per annum and receives certain other revenue from said
real property;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parking Authority of the City of Santa
Monica does resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. That the Parking Authority of the City of Santa
Monica is entitled to have the title to the real property hereinbefore
mentioned in the-name of the said Parking Authority and respectfully
requests th® City Council of said City to cause the transfer of said
title to said Parking Authority at its earliest convenience.
SECTION 2. Said Parking Authority hereby respectfully requests
said City Council to apply all ineorne past and future, received or to be
received by the City, from the operation of said real property as a
parking lot or income rec®ived from any other use, to be credited to th®
~''~O,Oi3.68 obligation of the Parking Authority to the City, and requests
further that the City Controller be instructed to do such things as may
be necessary to effect such credit.
SECTION 3. The Chairman shall execute this resolution on
behalf of said Parking Authority and the Clerk of said body shall certif.
to the adoption that®of and thenceforth and thereafter the same shall
be in foil force and effect.
