At their Studio A at Sunset and Vine, the National Broadcasting
Company is selling to the highest bidder a Century 24 dimmer
board complete.. It is a piece of stage lighting equipment for
which our Auditorium has been asking for several years. The
requests have been denied because of the excessive cost if
purchased new.
Both our Purchasing and Auditorium people have examined the
equipment at the studio. They are convinced that the City should
tender a bad of $2000 which, if accepted, would acquire for the
Auditorium a needed piece of equipment which costs new about
$15, 000.
Council authority is requested to make such a bid and, if accepted,
to pay for it by an appropriation from MAR Fund Unappropriated
Surplus to A/c 401 -A-92 in the amount of $2000.
