Pursuant to the request of the City Council on June 29, 1964,
this office has determined the cost of an additional marquee
at Pico and Main to be approximately $6900.
It is Mr, Owen's contention, which I support, that an addi-
tional marquee would be a waste of money. What we have
been asking is to move the existing marquee from its present
unsatisfactory location to the corner of Pico and Main, where
it would be visible to traffic on both Main and Pico. As was
indicated in the budget, this could be done for about $1700.
