Subject: Ordinance Authorizing the City Manager to Negotiate Cooperation
Agreements with the Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority and
with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority for the
Construction and Operation of a Light Rail Transit System within the City
of Santa Monica
Recommended Action
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance.
Executive Summary
At its meeting on April 26, 2011, the City Council introduced for first reading an
ordinance authorizing the City Manager to negotiate Cooperation Agreements with the
Exposition Metro Line Construction Authority and with the Los Ahgeles County
Metropolitan Transportation Authority for the construction and operation of a light rail
transit system within the City of Santa Monica. The ordinance is now presented to the
City Council for adoption.
