This report requests. a motion for ratification of the. revised
specification for Sign Painter anal adoption. of the attached
amendment to Resolution 4h46 establishing new salaries for
P?echanic Supervisor, Painter Supervisor and Carpenter
Supervisor.

This job specification was routinely revised to reflect
current duties ;n preparation for an examination to fill a
vacancy, The Personnel Board approved the revised specification
at their meeting of September 8, 1980.

The recently ratified Memorandum of Understanding with. the
Statewide Employee 'is Association provided for salary survey
and adjustment for certain blue-collar positions mutually
agreed upon by the Cfry and SEA. Those surveys have been
completed and the salaries for Mechanic, P?echanic Assistant,
Carpenter and Painter have been adiusted to the mean of
survey cities. To maintain the average 23/> di{ferential
betureen E-steps for blue-collar subordinates and their
supervisors it is necessary to adiust the following
suroervisorsalaries as noted:
