Adoption of a Salary Resolution for Project Director

This report requests adoption of a Resolution establishing the salary
for Project Director.
Background
The salary for Project Director (who heads the Senior Citizens Nutrition
and Transportation Program) has been ``c~a in comparison to other City
administrative positions due to Federal funding levels. The P-rsonnel
Department has conducted a comparison study of this position in relation
to other positions in the City with. duties and responsibilities at a
similar level, including Recreation Supervisor and Administrative Analyst.
Project Director is substantially undercompensated in relation.. to these
other positions and adjustment from $1758/month E-Step to $2195/month
E-Step ($2349 with PERS) is recommended retroactive to July 1, 1982.
Recorunendation
It is recommended that Council adopt the attached Resolution establishing
the salary for Project Director at an appropriate level.
