SUBJECT: Approval of Revised Classification Specification and
Adoption of Salary Resolution
Introduction
This report requests approval of a revision of the classification
specification for Cemetery Business Assistant resulting from the
Clerical Reclassification process and adoption of a Salary
Resolution establishing the salary for the position.
Background
As part of the clerical reclassification, the specification for
Cemetery Business Assistant has been revised to more accurately
represent duties performed. This single position class was found
to be unique based on the sales function it involves, and therefor
could not be assigned to the Staff Assistant series.- The Personnel
Board approved the revised specification at their April 11 meeting.
The salary recommendation for the position is consistent with the
top level of the Staff Assistant series, with an E-Step salary of
$1,736/month. The current E-Step salary is $1,625/month. Funds
for this change were included with the clerical reclassification
budget appropriation.

Recommendation.
It is recommended that Council approve the attached classifica-
tion specification and adopt the attached salary resolution es-
tablishing the salary for Cemetery Business Assistant.
