SUBJECT: Resurfacing of Taxiways at the Santa Monica
Municipal Airport - A*raard of Contract.
Introduction
This report recommends the City Council award a contract for
resurfacing of Taxiways at the Santa Monica Municipal-Airport
to Sully-Diller Contracting Company in the amount of 8,581.00.
Background
Bids for the subject project were opened in the City Council
Chambers, Monday, July 26, 1976, and read publicly by the
Assistant City Clerk.
Plans and specifications were issued to nine (9) contractors.
Four (4) bids were received as follows:
Su11y-Miller Contracting Co. ......... .. ~ 8,581.00
Bay District Paving Co . .................. 8,772.90
S. & M. Paving, Inc. .. . .......... 11,915.00
Goplen Excav. & Engrg. Contractor ,....... 12,551.50
City Engineer's Estimate ................. 8,675.00
Funds in the amount of $10,000 are available in Job Order No.
777C-270 to finance this project.
The taxiways to be resurfaced are two strips that connect the
fueling station to the runway, as shown on the attached copy
of Drawing No. 4188.

Recommendation
It is recommended that the subject contract.be awarded to
Sully-Miller Contracting Company, lowest and best bid
received, in t?-~e amorunt of X8,581.00.
