FROM: 'the City Attorney SUBJECT: Request For Approval of Negotiated Furchase Subject to the approval of the Council, I have negotiated the purchase of the property at 115 Wadsworth Avenue, for the widening of The Speedway for the sum of $24,750.00 from Seymour, Sol and Bernard Epstein. We have an appraisal on the property of $23,500.00. The property is situated on the north- east corner of The Speedway and Wadsworth Avenue and has an unobstructed view. I feel for this reason that if the case goes, to trial that the jury verdict added to the expenses of litigation would exceed $24,750.00 and therefore I recommend that you authorize purchase of the property for that price.
