REAL PROPERTY TO THE COUNTY OF
LOS ANGELES - PROPOSED SANTA MONICA
COUNTY OFFICE BUILDING ADDITION SITE
i7nder Capital Project No. 7250, the County of Los Angeles has
budgeted plan preparation funds for the Santa Monica County
Office Building addition. Said building is being planned to
provide additional space to hous° courtroom facilities and for
other governmental offices." It is proposed to be constructed
as an addition to the existing County-owned building located
within the Santa IQonica Civic Center area.
The enact parcel of real property proposed as the site for said
of f. ice building addition, as agreed upon at a meeting held on
October 10, 19t~0, bet~reen representatives of the City of
Santa irionica and the County cf Los Angeles, is the City-owned
parcel of real property shown as the blue shaded area cn the
attached map.
In order to carry out complete plan preparations and reserve
the necessary funds for actual construction; your Honorable Body
is hereby respectfullyrequested to approve a grant to the
County of Los Angeles of the hereinabove-mentioned real property
by a gift deed *rrhich shall be subject to an easement in favor of
the Los Angeles County Flood Control District and to the
folio*uing condition.:

In the event the County of Los Angeles does not proceed
with actual oonstruction of the mentioned improvements
within a period of three years from the date of said
deed, or a reasonable time thereafter, the subject real
property shall then revert to the Grantor, City of
Santa R7onica.
In the event your Honorable Body approves the request oontained
herein, this office ;~i11 arrange for the preparation of tine
necessary legal description and document to be presented at a
later date for your approval and execution.
Your consideration and assistance to the County in finalizing the
mentioned building addition program will be greatly appreciated.
