5UBIECT: Report of committee appointed by the City Council for a site for the proposed
County Building in the Civic Center.
Mr< Frank Indovina, Ltr> T. C. Browne, Lir. L. S. Storrs, and I met
this morning to consider a site for the Civic Center for the location of a
County Building. The committee yvas unanimous in recommending a site south-
easterly of the auto parking lot and northeasterly of main Street where it is
believed there is sufficient area for a County Building, including a setback
from ~~ain Street equal to that of the City Hall Building.
The proposed site is the general area indicated °Police and Fire"
on the proposed ~Jiaster Plan for Civic Center Development's, adopted by the City
Planning Commission, and the location is believed to be consistent vrith the
Luster Plan.
It is recommended that I'be authorized to confer with the appro-
priate County officials for the purpose of determining the area required and
the conditions of the proposed transfer,
