SUBJECT: Ordinance amending the Rent Control Ordinance
INTRODUCTION
This report transmits for second reading and
adoption an ordinance amending Chapter 6 of Article
IV of the Santa T2onica Municipal Code.
BACKGROUND
This ordinance was introduced as Item 8B at the
March 25, 1980, City Council meeting. Section 4603
was changed to read, "On and after the effective date of
this ordinance" rather than "On and after April 18, 1979".
The ordinance is now before the Council for second reading
and adoption.
ALTERNATIVES
The City Council may adopt, amend, or reject the
ordinance.
RECOMMENDATSONS
It is respectfully recommended that the City Council
adopt the ordinance.
