Contract With the County of Los Angeles For The Mutual ~ ~ u
Exchange of Library Service ~~
The County has proposed that the City and County mutually exchange
library service and that annually the financial equities be resolved
at the rate of $5 per patron per year. In short, the County is
proposing that if County patrons' use of the Santa Monica library
facil ities exceeds the use of County facilities by City patrons by more
than 15 ~~, then we, or the County, would be paid for such use at the
rate of $5 per patron.
The proposal has been reviewed by the Library Board, and the Board
does recommend that it be approved by the City Council. Accordingly,
it is recommended that the City Council authorize the execution of the
attached agreement.
