Agenda Item 8-I (Extension of Ocean Avenue to
The Speedway)
As you know, the City is obligated to extend Ocean Avenue
from Hollister Avenue to Hart Avenue and thereafter to
widen The Speedwayo
Attached hereto is a 100-scale map showing the general
alignment of the proposed right of way for the extension
of Ocean Avenuee The precise alignment for the extension
has not as yet been determined and will depend on several
factorse It is essential, hovaever, that acquisition pro-
ceedings be commenced in the near future, and prior there-
to, an appraisal of the properties involved should be com-
mencede
It is therefore requested that I be authorized to retain an
appraiser to appraise Lots 15 through 19 and 34 through 38,
BlocY. 2; and Lots 1? through 19 and Lot 22, B1oclc 3p all in
the T~Tadsworth and Hollister Tracts
The appraisal requested covers more property than will
probably be taken, but due to the uncertainty of alignment
at this time, all the lots indicated should be appraisede
