SUBJECT: P.ecommendation to Ratify an Emergency Purchase Order
for Replacer_ient of the Overhead Doors at Fire Station
~k2 .
Introduction
This report concerns an emergency purchase order to replace the
Overhead Doors at Fire Station ,~r2 located at 222 Hollister Ave.
Funds for this purchase have been budgeted in account number
01-3-0-311-000-950.
Background
The Overhead Doors at Fire Station ~~2 have deteriorated through
age and use to the point where they have become inoperable and
beyond repair. The Fire Department has an emergency requirement
to replace these doors immediately to enable them to have access
to Fire Station ~k2 and to avoid parking their fire fighting
equipment outdoors.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Council ratify the emergency
purchase order to Fishline Industries in an estimated amount
of $8,250.00 to replace the Overhead doors at Fire Station ~k2.
This ratification is in accordance with Section 2509 of the Santa
Monica Municipal Code.
