The City Council previously authorized the firm of
Kaplan, Livingston, Goodwin, Berkowitz & Selvin to represent the
City on appeal of Pines vs. City of Santa Monica, an appeal of the
decision rendering invalid the City's condominium. tax. At the
executive session held on February 27, 1979, with reference to
this case, the City Council had indicated that they would make
appropriations as the billing occurred. It is hereby requested
that the City Council appropriate the sum of $7,688.90 for the
payment of the initial bill by Kaplan, Livingston, Goodwin,
Berkowitz & Selvin for .the appeal of the Pines case.
