RESOLUTION NUMBER 10535 (CCS)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO FILE
THE FY 2011-2013 SHORT RANGE TRANSIT PLAN; AND TO SUBMIT GRANT
APPLICATIONS, TO EXECUTE GRANT AGREEMENTS )N FURTHERANCE OF THE
SHORT RANGE TRANSIT PLAN.
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to file the Short Range Transit Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized to submit grant applications and
execute grant agreements;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA MONICA
DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Authorizes the City Manager to file the FY 2011-2013 Short Range
Transit Plan ("SRTP") with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation
Authority ("Metro").
SECTION Z. Authorizes the City Manager to file grant applications and to
execute grant agreements to accept federal, state, regional and local transit assistance
in accordance with the SRTP, including, but not limited to, the Federal Transit
Administration ("FTA"), Metro, South Coast Air Quality Management District
("SCAOMD"), State Department of Homeland Security ("Homeland Security"", and the
California Department of Transportation ("Caltrans"), among other. The City Manager is
also authorized to enter into grant agreements with subgrantees for the pass-through of
grant funds in accordance with the terms of the applicable grant and the SRTP.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution, and
thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
