SR-092804-7C (2) f:\atty\muni\strpts\bar\substantial remodel interim ordinance extend2d.doc City Council Meeting 9-28-04 Santa Monica, California TO: Mayor and City Council FROM: City Staff SUBJECT: An Interim Ordinance Of The City Council Of The City Of Santa Monica Extending The Initial Interim Ordinance Modifying The Threshold At Which A Structure Is Determined To Be Substantially Remodeled And Thereby Subject To All Current Applicable Zoning Code Regulations, Establishing Exceptions To The Substantial Remodel Requirements, And Authorizing Zoning Administrator Adjustments In Specified Circumstances Introduction At its meeting on September 14, 2004, the City Council introduced for first reading an ordinance extending the initial interim ordinance modifying the threshold at which a structure is determined to be substantially remodeled and thereby subject to all current applicable Zoning Code regulations, establishing exceptions to the substantial remodel requirements, and authorizing Zoning Administrator adjustments in specified circumstances. The ordinance is now presented to the City Council for adoption. Recommendation It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying ordinance be adopted.
