SUBJECT: Detition requesting installation of street lights on
10th Street between Montana Ave, and. Alta Ave.
Attached is a petition with signatures representing
57.055] of the front-footage along 10th St, between Alta
Ave® and Montana Ave, recuesting the installation of street
lights.
Mrs. Parker, circulator of petition, pointed out that
several burglaries had oecured recently ir. their block and
for that reason the signatories of the petition would like
the lights installed as soon as possible.
She also pointed out that of the eleven signatures
she was unable to get, seven of these owners do not live
on the street but rent their houses. The tenants tivould
very much like to have street lights installed.
Please present this petition to the City Council at
its meeting of November 13, 1962, with my recommendation
that it be approved and that I be authorized to proceed
immediately with the improvement.
