SUBJECT: Petitions for Street Lighting - 19th Street, San Vicente
Boulevard to Carlyle Avenue and Alta Avenue to Montana
Avenue.
Transmitted herewith are three petitions received
by the Street Superintendent for installing modern street
lighting on various sections of 19th Street. The sections
covered by the petitions, and the street frontage represented
by those signing the petitions, is shown in the following
tabulation:
San Vicente Boulevard to Georgina Avenue --- 61.1
Georgina Avenue to Carlyle Avenue ---------- 62.5
Alta Avenue to Montana Avenue -------------- 66.7
As you know, modern street lights already have been
installed on 19th Street between Carlyle Avenue and Alta
Avenue.
It is recommended that the City Council be requested
to instruct the Street Superintendent to institute proceedings
for this improvement under the provisions of the Improvement
Act of 1911.
