Structures
Introduction
This report transmits the attached ordinance to
the City Council for second reading and adoption.
Background
The City Council held a first reading and public
hearing on the attached ordinance at its meeting of
February 14, 1978, The attached ordinance, if enacted,
would prohibit the use of skateboards in public parking
structures, including those owned by the City of Santa
Monica and those owned by the Parking Authority of the
City of Santa Monica. A copy of each of the previous staff
reports is attached for information purposes.
Alternative Solutions
The alternatives are to introduce the attached
ordinance fir second reading and adopt the same, or to
modify the same, or not to adopt the same.

Recommendation
It is respectfully recommended that the City
Council introduce the attached ordinance for second reading
and adopt the same.

at its meeting of January 24, 1978, The attached ordinance,
if enacted, would prohibit the use of skateboards in
public parking structures, including those owned by the
City of Santa Monica and those owned by the Parking
Authority of the City of Santa Monica. A copy of the
previous staff report is attached for information purposes,
Alternative Solutions
The alternatives are to introduce the attached
ordinance for first reading and hold a public hearing
thereon, or to introduce the same and amend it in
conformity with the desires of the City Council.
