SUBJECT: Amendment of Toxic Chemical Disclosure Law
Pursuant to City Council direction, the accompanying
ordinance is presented for consideration amending Municipal
Code Section 5302 relating to toxic chemical disclosure.
The ordinance amends Municipal Code Section 5302(a)(1)
to exempt a number of specified businesses from the require-
went of disclosure in the M-1 and M-2 districts. The ordi-
nance also amends Municipal Code Section 5302{a)(8) to
clarify the requirement that x-ray processing laboratories
are among the medical laboratories subject to disclosure.
Finally, the ordinance amends Municipal Code Section 5302(d)
to indicate that the Director of General Services shall be
responsible for annually mailing toxic chemical disclosure
forms.
RECOMMENDATION
It is respectfully recommended that the accompanying
ordinance be introduced for first reading.
