SL'BJEGT: Administrative Agreement: Redevelopment Agency
The Redevelopment Agency has recommended to the City
Council by memorandum dated January 4, 1962, that approval
be given to a proposed agreement between the City and the
Agency whereby the City .Manager would serve as the Executive
Director -Secretary of the Agency. This is similar to the
agreement whereby the A,Sanager serves as Secretary to the
Parking Authority.
The proposed agreement provides:
1. That the Nana.ger would delegate administrative responsi-
bility for the Agency's program to the Acting Assistant
City lbianager, and
2. That the Agency will reimburse the City for 50% of the
Acting Assistant City Manager's salary, and
3. That the agreement may be terminated by either of the
parties.
In actual operation, the Agency's Senior Administrative Assis-
tant, 14irs. 3oan Flor, would administer the daily operations
of the Agency under the supervision of the Acting Assistant
City 1V[anager.
If the City Council approves the Agency`s recommendation,
the City Administration suggests the following procedure:
1. Instruct the City N?anager to enter into the proposed agree-
ment with the Agency, and
2. Adopt the attached resolution whereby the City would em-
ploy the Acting Assistant City Manager on a full time basis.
