Meeting of June 27, 1978, Regarding Request for
Authorization to Appear Before Metropolitan Water
District Budget Hearing
I would like to place on the agenda for the regular City Council meeting
of June 27, 1978, City Council authorization for me to attend and testify
before the budget hearing of the Metropolitan Water District scheduled for
June 28, 1978, to offer suggestions and reflect the concern of the City of
Santa Monica that the Metropolitan Water District use every effort to
mitigate potential water rate increases to the City.

Agenda Item 13-E: Presented at this time was the request o£ Council-
member Reed for .authorization to appear before the Metropolitan Water
District budget hearing on behalf of Santa Monica City Council. Council
member Trives moved to authorize Councilmember Reed to represent the
City o Santa Monica opposing additional expenditures by the Metropolita.
Water District. Second by Councilmember Bambrick.
