Subject: Public Hearing on Confirmation of Assessment --
Street Lighting District: Lincoln Boulevard, City Limits,
Highland Avenue and Marine Place North
Introduction
This report requests City Council to approve the assessment diagram and to
hold a public hearing on the confirmation of assessments and to hear any
protests concerning the installation of a high pressure sodium street
lighting district in the area bounded by Lincoln Boulevard, City Limits,
Highland Avenue and Marine Place North.
Background
On October 29, 1980, the Council set a public hearing on November 25, 1980
to hear protests and confirm assessments on Street Lighting District bounded
by Lincoln Boulevard, City Limits, Highland Avenue and Marine Place North
(Item 6-0). The street lighting work is now completed and the assessment
has been filed with the City Clerk. It is now necessary to approve the
assessment diagram and tb hold-the pub Tic hearing to hear protests regarding
the work and the correctness of the assessment.
Recommendation.
It is recommended the City Council:
1) Adopt the resolution approving the assessment diagram;
2) Open the public hearing;
3) Close the public hearing and overrule any protests; and s,ci
4) Adopt the resolution confirming the assessment. §~in (yp
