HARBOR COMMISSION ~ 'Z J, ~ ~ ~ ~'7~a'~ Amendments to Antic e X, Chapter 2, Santa Monica Municipal Code Until such time as Article X, Chapter 2, Municipal Harbor, Santa Monica Municipal Code, can be completely studied by the members of the Harbor Commission and recommendations submitted for complete revision, it is recommended that: (1} Section 10208 be immediately amended to read as follo~nrs: SECTION 1020. Mooring Fees. A mooring fee shall be pa..d for the privilege of maintaining a mooring in the harbor or ih-the protected area adjoining the breakwater. Said moaning fee sha3,l be based upon the overall length of the vessel for which the moo-r~ig is maintained and shall equal fifteen (x.15} cents per lineal foot of such overall length per month, payable monthly, Guar%erly or annually in advance, with a minimum monthly fee of five 0 5.00) dollars. Upon default of one month in the payment of the mooring fee the holder of the mooring permit shall forfeit any and all right thereto and thereunder and the same shall be considered null and void and the said holder of said permit thereupon shall lose the privilege of maintaining a mooring in said harbor or in the protected area adjoining said breakwater. No privilege for maintaining a mooring as provided herein shall be assigned, sub-let or hypothecated in any manner ~,vithout the written consent of the City first being obtained. Any assignment, sub-letting or hypothecation without obtaining such consent, shall make null and void said permit and all rights thereto and thereunder shall be forfeited. (2) Section 10231. Municipal Pier Regulations. Section 10231-j (Same) Should be deleted as the subject is covered in Section 10230 and a discrepancy exists between the t~~ro sections. Boat Storage Space. In the e?rent that storage space is available on the lower deck of the Municipal Pier, a permit to use such space 'or a portion thereof for the following storage purposes shall be issued upon written application to the Harbormaster therefor on a form to be provided by the City and upon payment of the following fees, monthly, quarterly or annually in advance. Upon default in the payment of the storage space fees of over one (1) month as hereinabove provided, t'_ne holder of a storage space permit shall ipso facto forfeit any and all right thereto or there- under and the same shall be considered null and void, and the said holder of said permit shall thereupon lose the privilege of using said space covered by said permit.
