Citywide Street Lighting and Landscaping
Maintenance Assessment District
Introduction
This 'report requests that City Council adopt the attached
resolution resetting the public hearing on the Santa Monica
Citywide Street Lighting and Landscaping Maintenance Assessment
District for July 27, 1982.
Background
On June 22, 1982, City Council set July 13, 1982 as the public
hearing date for the Santa Monica Citywide Street Lighting and
Landscaping Maintenance Assessment District. During the
preparation of the final reports to the City, the consultant on
this project discovered a technical discrepancy between the
City's records and the County Assessor's records. As a result,
there was not enough time to make the necessary corrections to
the assessment amounts and still mail the notices of the public
hearing, which carry the individual assessment amounts, in a
timely fashion.
By resetting the public hearing for July. 27, 1982, the consultant
will be able to make all the .necessary corrections to the
Engineer's report and to meet the County Assessor's time
requirements for inclusion of the assessments on the property tax
bill.

Recommendation
Staff recommends that City Council adopt the attached Resolution
of Intention setting a public hearing on the Santa Monica
Citywide Street Lighting and Landscaping Maintenance Assessment
District for July 27, 1982.
